- The imposing three storeys of the old
farmhouse can be seen from the road to Tolentino - set on a steep
hillside, surrounded by trees and just outside the delightful
walled town of San Ginesio.

- With some sympathetic restoration,
remembering the history of the old farmhouse, previously abandoned
for 30 years, it has now been transformed into an eight-bedroom
Country House Hotel (similar to an Agriturismo) with generous
en-suite bathrooms.

- The garden at the Villa has many fruit
trees, including figs, cherries, plums, apricots and pears as
well as hazelnuts and walnuts.

- The pool, which was a great success
during the long, hot summer of 2003 overlooks the mountains and
is set beside the restaurant terrace, complete with barbeque.

- More landscaping along with the addition
of a portico are all due for completion during 2004.

into English as 'the Marches' and is set on the eastern side
of central Italy between the Adriatic Sea and the high Apennine
mountains and is unspoilt, undiscovered and much of it remains
untouched by the ravages of mass tourism.

- Cuisine in Le Marche is steeped in
tradition and local delicacies include cingiale (wild boar),
tartufo (truffles) and olives stuffed with spicy meat, covered
in breadcrumbs and deep fried (ascolano). Pecorino (sheeps cheese)
is really good in this region and tastes vary according to its
age.
